Bhubaneswar: A young man was severely injured in a violent group assault by miscreants in the Chakeisiani area under Mancheswar police limits in Bhubaneswar, late Tuesday evening. The victim identified as Rudra Narayan Patra of Chakeisiani is in critical condition and was initially rushed to Capital Hospital for treatment.
However, Patra has been shifted to AIIMS-Bhubaneswar as his condition deteriorated.
According to preliminary reports, the attack was carried out by a group of assailants, though the motive behind the assault remains unclear.
Mancheswar police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrators, who fled the scene after the incident.
