Bhubaneswar: Minister of Steel and Mines, Commerce, and Transport Bibhuti Bhusan Jena inaugurated the relocated Jaydev Vihar branch of HDFC Bank in Bhubaneswar, marking a significant upgrade to its premises.
The event was attended by Satyabadi MLA Om Prakash Mishra and former MLA Priyadarshi Mishra.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Jena praised HDFC Bank’s efforts in providing quality digital banking services through its extensive network of 257 branches, 407 ATMs, and 102 Cash Deposit Machines (CDMs) in Odisha. He lauded the bank’s social initiatives, particularly its skill development centre, and urged further expansion into rural areas to enhance financial inclusion.
The minister also advocated for promoting electric vehicles to support greener energy initiatives. In a key handover ceremony, he presented vehicle keys to customers who secured commercial vehicle, car, and two-wheeler loans, highlighting the bank’s role in empowering customers.
Bank officials, including Arjunanda Bagh, Animesh Biswal, Debendra Jena, Pramathes Patnaik, and Suraj Chhetri, were present, reinforcing HDFC Bank’s commitment to strengthening its presence and services across Odisha.
