Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for several districts, forecasting light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds of up to 30-40 kmph over the next two hours.
As per the nowcast warning issued by the IMD at 10:05 am, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city), and Cuttack (including Cuttack city) are likely to face light to moderate thunderstorms with gusty winds reaching 30-40 kmph, lightning, and light to moderate rain within the next two hours.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and be ready to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
