Bhubaneswar: A moderate thunderstorm, with surface winds of 40–50 kmph, lightning, and light to moderate rain, is expected to impact parts of three Odisha districts within the next three hours.
The regional weather office has issued orange warning to Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda including Bhubaneswar city within next three hours. The IMD has issued a nowcast warning at 11:45am.
The impending moderate thunderstorm may cause minor damage to loose or unsecured structures, banana trees, and standing crops in affected areas. Residents are advised to monitor weather updates closely and be prepared to seek safer locations if conditions worsen.
