Bhubaneswar: The Government of India on Monday appointed 2012 batch Odisha cadre IAS officer Nikhil Pavan Kalyan as the new Director of Census Operations (DCO)/Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) for the state of Odisha.
According to a letter issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India on Monday (June 2, 2025) to the Odisha Chief Secretary, Kalyan’s appointment will be effective until December 31, 2025, or until further orders—whichever comes earlier.
The Competent Authority has approved Kalyan’s assignment at the Director level, and the Government of Odisha has been directed to relieve him immediately so that he can assume his new responsibilities without delay the letter stated.
