CM Trophy 2025: Bargarh FC Emerges Champions In Odisha Under-15 Football Tournament

Bhubaneswar: Bargarh FC emerged victorious in the CM Trophy 2025 Under-15 football championship held in Odisha, defeating Bhubaneswar FC 3-2 in a thrilling final at Birsa Munda Stadium in Rourkela today.

The final witnessed an enthusiastic turnout, with Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj attending as the chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, Suraj highlighted that the championship was organised for the first time in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. He emphasised that the tournament aims to nurture sporting talent at the grassroots level across Odisha’s villages.

Congratulating the winners and all participants, Suraj announced that the top 100 sportspersons from the tournament will be selected for advanced training. He further revealed plans to expand the CM Trophy Championship to include sports such as athletics, badminton, kho kho, kabaddi, and hockey in the near future.

President of the Odisha Football Association and Jharsuguda MLA Tankadhar Tripathy also graced the event. He praised the championship for fostering sports talent and expressed confidence that the state’s sports development journey would continue with similar initiatives.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended his congratulations to Bargarh FC via a social media post, while wishing all participating teams a successful future.

“Congratulations to Bargarh FC for their victory in the CM Trophy 2025 football championship. Best wishes to Bhubaneswar FC and all other teams that participated in this state government-organized tournament,” the Chief Minister stated.
