Bhubaneswar: With just a few days left for the Rath Yatra, the second coordination meeting is set to take place at Puri Town Hall under the chairmanship of Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan today to review the preparations made so far to ensure a smooth and successful festival.
With the festival scheduled for June 27, the meeting will focus on discussing the modalities for ensuring the safety, security, and convenience of devotees. The meeting will also review the progress made since the first coordination meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of the Central Range Revenue Divisional Commissioner.
This year, a large gathering of devotees is expected during the Rath Yatra. Therefore, a detailed discussion will be held on the accommodation, facilities, security, and organised darshan for the devotees, as well as the timely completion of rituals and ceremonies. Apart from that, key issues to be discussed include accommodation, security, and health services for devotees, as well as the management of traffic, sanitation, and electricity supply during the festival.
The meeting will be attended by various stakeholders, including ministers, officials from the district administration, police officials, servitors, intellectuals, and media representatives.
