Bhubaneswar: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education under the Department of School and Mass Education organized a two-day workshop at the auditorium in Krushi Bhawan. The workshop, titled “Journey of Mind to Market,” aims to provide an opportunity for students at the higher secondary level to develop their creativity and marketing skills, making them self-reliant.
The workshop is an initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Additional Secretary Smt. Subhashree Nanda expressed her belief that this workshop will contribute to creating a Viksit Odisha.
The primary objective of the workshop is to provide insights into different dimensions of innovation, including Design Thinking, Idea Generation, Entrepreneurship, and Intellectual Property Rights. The workshop features 164 participants, including principals, teachers, and student achievers from various institutions.
The program covers various aspects, such as Design Thinking and Innovation, Idea Generation and Market Research, Prototype/Product Development, and Intellectual Property Commercialization. It also includes interactions with start-up founders and discussions on start-up mindsets and business models.
The workshop is expected to benefit students and teachers by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to foster innovation and entrepreneurship.
