Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for several Odisha districts, predicting thunderstorms with heavy rain and gusty winds in the next few days.

Day 1 (June 25): Thunderstorms with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph, and heavy rain are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sonepur, Rayagada, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack and Gajapati.
Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam.
Day 2 (June 25-26): Thunderstorms with lightning, with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph and heavy to very heavy rain are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Keonjhar. These districts have been issued orange warnings.
