Bhubaneswar: One employee, who had sustained after fire broke out at Tarini Bastralaya in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday night, died while undergoing treatment at Capital Hospital on Thursday.
The victim has been identified as Rakesh Sahu from Puri district.
According to reports, the fire caused massive loss of goods worth over Rs 1 crore. Upon being informed, the fire brigade officials reached the spot and controlled the fire after a 2-hour effort.
During the rescue efforts, Rakesh was injured while trying to extinguish the flames and was admitted to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, he succumbed to injuries at Capital Hospital.
Meanwhile, police are investigating the cause of the fire. The incident has caused significant loss to the business.
