Bhubaneswar: Vice President  of India Jagdeep Dhankhar is likely to visit Puri on Friday to witness the famous Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath and his siblings which draws lakhs of devotees.

Although an official confirmation is pending, sources indicate that Dhankhar may participate in the celebrations and have darshan of the deities on their majestic chariots.

Meanwhile, the Puri district administration has enhanced security measures and logistical planning to ensure a smooth experience for all devotees.

It is pertinent to mention that to ensure a secure and seamless experience for the devotees, the administration has implemented robust security measures. A total of 275 AI-enabled CCTV cameras have been strategically installed throughout the event area to monitor the crowd and surroundings in real-time. This advanced surveillance system will enable authorities to quickly identify and respond to any potential security threats.
