Bhubaneswar: Former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Naveen Patnaik, who underwent surgery for cervical arthritis at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on June 22, has extended his greetings to the people of Odisha ahead of the annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath.
Patnaik conveyed his Rath Yatra wishes from his hospital bed in a video message released today.
“My dear brothers and sisters, I extend my greetings and warm wishes to you all on the occasion of the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath,” said the five-time former Chief Minister.

The surgery was successfully performed under the supervision of renowned cardiologist Dr. Ramakant Panda, who also serves as Patnaik’s personal physician.
The much-awaited Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, along with his siblings, is scheduled to take place in Puri on June 27 (Friday).
