Tribal Woman Allegedly Gangraped In Jajpur District, Accused Held

Bhubaneswar: A tribal woman was allegedly raped by two men in the Bhalukhai jungle under Bairi police station in Jajpur district on Tuesday.

The incident occurred when the woman was grazing her cattle in the jungle.

According to the complaint lodged by the victim, the two accused took advantage of her loneliness and allegedly raped her one after the other. The victim managed to escape and reported the incident to the Bairi police.

Based on the victim’s complaint, police tracked down and managed to nab the accused from a distance away from her village.

Meanwhile, the victim has been sent for medical examination.
