Koraput: Train operations have been severely affected on the Koraput-Kirandul line of Waltair Division following a landslide triggered by incessant rainfall between Malliguda and Jarati stations. The incident has caused multiple train cancellations, diversions, and short terminations, leading to widespread disruption for passengers across the region.
According to a press release issued by East Coast Railway (ECoR) this evening, railway officials have rushed to the site to assess the situation and initiate immediate restoration work. Heavy earth-moving equipment, manpower, and essential materials have been mobilised, and efforts are underway on a war footing to resume normal train services.
