Bhubaneswar: A suspected bird flu outbreak has raised concerns in the Delang area of Puri district following reports of an alarming number of poultry deaths. According to local sources, over 3,000 chickens have died in various poultry farms in the past few days, sparking fears of an avian influenza outbreak.
To determine the cause of the deaths, authorities have collected samples of chicken droppings and blood for laboratory testing. In response to the situation, the district administration has formed a three-member Rapid Response Team to monitor and control any possible spread of the infection.
Officials are closely monitoring the affected areas and have advised poultry farm owners to implement strict biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of the disease. The situation is being closely watched, and further action will be taken based on the laboratory test results.
