Bhubaneswar: A 55-year-old man died after being attacked by a bull at Chandia village under Basudevpur block in Bhadrak district on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Nepali Jena.
According to reports, the bull was sleeping in front of Jena’s house, and when he tried to shoo it away, the animal attacked him, throwing him to the ground multiple times.
Jena’s son, Manas, and some villagers tried to intervene, but the bull turned on them, injuring a few people. The villagers eventually managed to rescue Jena and took him to Basudevpur Hospital, where he was declared dead.
The villagers later caught the aggressive bull.
Meanwhile, the injured villagers were discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment.
