Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police in Bhubaneswar has taken proactive measures to ensure public order and safety during the 12-hour statewide bandh called by eight opposition parties, including the Congress. To maintain law and order, the police have deployed high-resolution AI cameras and drones at strategic locations such as key intersections, markets, and government buildings.
As per reports, police personnel in uniform and plain clothes have been stationed at sensitive zones, including Lok Seva Bhawan, Odisha Legislative Assembly and residences of prominent political leaders.
A central command setup has been established to closely monitor the situation, with senior officers deployed to oversee field operations.
In anticipation of potential law and order challenges during the statewide bandh, a substantial police force has been deployed in the twin cities. As many as 82 platoons of police personnel have been strategically stationed across key areas to ensure public safety and prevent any disruptions.
Meanwhile, the Copolice have urged citizens and government employees to cooperate fully with the security protocols to ensure public safety and the uninterrupted delivery of essential services during the bandh.
