Bol Bom Devotee Killed, Two Injured In Road Accident In Keonjhar

Bhubaneswar: A Bol Bom devotee was killed and others injured in a road accident at Joda area of Keonjhar district today.

The incident took place on NH-520 within Champua police limits when a speeding truck crashed into the pickup van carrying the devotees.

The victims were travelling from Rourkela to the Murga Mahadev Temple in Keonjhar to perform Jalabhisheka on Sravan Sombar and were en route to the Maa Tarini Temple in Ghatagaon for darshan when the accident occurred. The truck driver fled the scene after the crash.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify the truck driver and determine the circumstances surrounding the accident. The deceased’s body has been sent for post-mortem, and the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the autopsy report.
