In a major development, the statement of the minor survivor was recorded on video at AIIMS Delhi, where she is undergoing treatment. The procedure was carried out in the presence of a magistrate, a Crime Branch officer, a doctor from AIIMS Delhi, a female ASI from Balanga Police Station, and a family member. The statement is expected to play a crucial role in the investigation.
Sources indicate that the probe may be nearing its final stages, with the Balanga Police and Crime Branch team likely to return from Delhi tomorrow. Senior officials have also been briefed on the developments so far.
