Bol Bom Devotee Dies After Being Hit By Bus In Jagatsinghpur

Bhubaneswar: A Bol Bom devotee died while another sustained critical injuries after being hit by a bus near Palasahi village under Naugaon police limits in Jagatsinghpur district.

The road mishap occurred when the devotees were returning after offering water at a Shiva temple.

The victims were part of a group of four Kaudias from Puri district who had visited the Gorakhnath Peeth, located about 13 km from Jagatsinghpur town. The bus, named ‘Sri Krishna’, was heading from Naugaon to Jagatsinghpur and hit the devotees before speeding away.

The deceased’s identity has not been disclosed yet, but preliminary investigations suggest he was a resident of Puri district.

The critically injured devotee is undergoing treatment at the district headquarters hospital.

Upon being informed, police launched an investigation to ascertain the reason behind the accident.
