Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida paid condolence and expressed grief over the demise of the actor-politician Sidhhant Mohapatra’s mother Kanak Mohapatra.
Kanak Mohapatra passed away following pro-longed illness. According to reports, she was ill for the last few days. However, she passed away while undergoing treatment. She was 80.
CM Mohan Charan Majhi visited Mohapatra’s residence in Bhubaneswar and paid last respect.
“Deeply saddened to learn about the demise of Digpahandi MLA Sidhhant Mohapatra. I paid my last respects to the departed soul at his residence in Bhubaneswar and expressed my condolences to the bereaved family. I pray to Lord Jagannath to grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to his family to bear this loss,” Majhi wrote on ‘X’.
Deputy CM KV Singh Deo also prayed for the departed soul. “I am deeply saddened and heartbroken to hear the news of the passing of Kanak Mahapatra, the mother of Odisha’s renowned actor and our party’s esteemed Digapahandi MLA, Sidhant Mahapatra. I pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family,” KV tweeted.
In a post on her X handle, Deputy CM Pravati Parida also expressed grief. “Saddened to hear the news of the passing of Kanak Mahapatra, mother of the popular actor and party’s Digapahandi MLA. “In this sorrowful time, I express my condolences to his family and pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
