Balasore: Over 20 female students at Nigamananda Smruti Bidyapitha under Bahanaga block of Balasore district, fell ill suddenly during prayer time on Wednesday.
According to reports, the students lost consciousness one after another, leading to immediate medical attention. The affected students were first admitted to Gopalpur Community Health Centre (CHC) in critical condition. Given the severity of their symptoms, including chest pain and unconsciousness, several students were subsequently transferred to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for advanced treatment.
Teachers and medical staff acted promptly to ensure the students received urgent care. The cause of the sudden illness is currently under investigation by health authorities.
