Bhubaneswar: Students from Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs) and Iconic OAVs have achieved remarkable success in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2025, earning seats in some of the most prestigious engineering institutions across India. Following the final round of seat allocation, 33 students from these schools have been admitted to IITs, NITs, IIIT Bhubaneswar, and top-tier government engineering colleges.
Among the notable achievers, Chandrasekhar Harpal from OAV Mashanimunda secured a seat at IIT Dharwad, Sunaram Marandi from OAV Jhargan was admitted to IIT Kharagpur, and Seema Gupta from OAV Kotpad earned admission to IIT Patna.
In addition, 20 students have been selected for NIT Rourkela, a leading national engineering institution. Four students—V. Lakshmi Raju, Soumya Ranjan Behera, Manmohan Das, and Pradeep Panda—have secured seats at IIIT Bhubaneswar. Others have gained admission in disciplines such as Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Biotechnology, and Mining Engineering at reputed state-level institutes like Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR), Bhubaneswar, and Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla.
This achievement reflects the effectiveness of the OAV system, which provides holistic academic support, residential facilities, and focused coaching to meritorious students from across the state. Teachers and administrators at OAVs have played a pivotal role in mentoring and guiding students for competitive exams like JEE.
The Secretary of the School and Mass Education Department has congratulated the students and their teachers, lauding their hard work and commitment. He also extended best wishes to the successful candidates as they embark on their journey into higher education and professional careers.
