Bhubaneswar: A woman died after being stung by a swarm of bees at Gopinath Sahi under Belaguntha police station in Ganjam district.
The deceased woman has been identified as Jhunu Pal, a resident of Gopinath.
According to sources, Jhunu was plucking guavas from a tree near her home when a swarm of bees emerged and attacked her. She suffered severe injuries and fell to the ground.
Her family members took her to Belaguntha Hospital for treatment. As her condition was critical, she was later referred to Bhanjanagar Hospital. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment.
