Bhubaneswar: Eminent sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a thought-provoking sand sculpture on Puri beach in Odisha to mark World Elephant Day.
Pattnaik, known for his exceptional sand art skills, has been using his talent to promote social causes and environmental awareness. Through his art, Pattnaik on World Elephant Day has appealed to people to unite in safeguarding these gentle giants and the forests they inhabit.
The sculpture features a poignant message, ‘Save My Habitat’, highlighting the urgent need to protect elephants and their natural habitats.
Taking to his X handle, he wrote: “On #WorldElephantDay, my sand art shares a simple yet urgent plea: ‘Save My Habitat’. Let’s unite to protect these gentle giants and the forests they call home. Every effort counts. #SaveElephants.”
The appeal comes at a critical time, as Odisha continues to grapple with the regular deaths of elephants and rising human-animal conflicts.
