Odia CISF Jawan Killed In Kishtwar Cloudburst

Bhubaneswar: An Odia CISF jawan was killed in the devastating cloudburst in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district.

Manoj Biswal, a resident of Manikamara village under Parjang police station limits in Dhenkanal, reportedly died when the camp where he was staying was destroyed in a sudden cloudburst.

The incident occurred on August 14 in Kishtwar’s Chashoti village, resulting in over 40 deaths and over 100 injuries. News of Manoj’s death has brought a pall of gloom to his village, Manikmara, where his family received the tragic news.

Cloudbursts are intense rainfall events that can cause massive destruction, especially in hilly areas. They are often associated with thunderstorms and can lead to flash floods, landslides, and widespread damage. In recent years, Jammu and Kashmir have witnessed several cloudburst incidents
