Jharsuguda: The Veer Surendra Sai airport here has expanded its operational hours to two shifts, providing more convenience to passengers.
As of today, the airport will operate from 7:35 am to 10:10 pm on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. On Wednesday, the airport will operate from 7:35 am to 6:30 pm, while on Sunday and Monday, it will operate from 12:45 pm to 9:45 pm.
This development is expected to benefit the approximately 1,000 passengers who travel through the airport every day. With flights operating to multiple destinations, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Raipur, Lucknow, Kolkata, and Bhubaneswar, the increased operational hours will provide more flexibility for passengers.
According to Director Sandeep Tiwari, the airport authorities plan to adjust flight schedules further, including making the Delhi flight a morning flight. This move is expected to enhance the overall travel experience for passengers and make air travel more accessible and convenient for those with morning commitments.
With this change, passengers will no longer have to incur unnecessary hotel expenses for overnight stays before their flights, making travel more convenient and cost-effective
