Bhubaneswar: Prem Patnaik, the elder brother of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik, visited his brother at Naveen Niwas today. Prem Patnaik arrived in Bhubaneswar after getting news of Naveen’s illness and met with him to discuss his health.
Naveen Patnaik was admitted to a private hospital last Sunday due to dehydration and received treatment from a specialised medical team. He recovered fully on Wednesday night and was discharged from the hospital. After his discharge, senior BJD leaders visited him at his residence to meet the party supremo.
During his visit, Prem Patnaik not only discussed Naveen’s health with him but also spoke with the doctors treating him.
Naveen Patnaik’s health had raised concerns among party members and supporters. Several prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, PCC President Bhakta Charan Das had prayed for his speedy recovery.
