Bhubaneswar: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla visited the revered Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri on Friday, accompanied by several prominent leaders, including Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Odisha Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling, Rural Development Minister Rabi Narayan Naik, and Puri MP Sambit Patra.
Upon arrival, Birla was warmly welcomed by Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Collector Dibya Jyoti Parida, and Superintendent of Police (SP) Prateek Singh near the Singhadwara (Lion Gate). After offering prayers for the nation’s prosperity and wellbeing, Birla expressed his reverence for the sacred temple.

During his visit, the SJTA Chief Administrator Dr. Padhee proposed an initiative to install the wheels of the three chariot wheels of RathYatra at the Parliament premises, which Birla agreed to.
