Man Dies Due To Drowning In Dhenkanal

Bhubaneswar: A 34-year-old man died after drowning in a canal at Basulei village under Parjang police station in Dhenkanal.

The deceased has been identified as Manas Parida (34).

According to reports, Manas went to the canal to take bath and drowned. Local residents and the fire brigade team responded promptly and retrieved his body from the canal.

However, by the time he was rescued, Manas had succumbed to drowning.

Meanwhile, police sent the body for post-mortem.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the village, with family members and locals grieving the loss of the young man.
