15 Injured, 2 Critical As Bus Collides With Stationary Tanker In Cuttack

Bus Collides With Stationary Tanker

Bhubaneswar: At least fifteen passengers sustained injuries, including two critically, when an ‘AMA BUS’ collided with a stationary tanker near Choudwar Chhak under Tangi police limits in Cuttack district on Tuesday morning.

According to reports, the bus was traveling from Choudwar towards Cuttack City along National Highway 16 when it suddenly rammed into the tanker from behind. The impact caused significant damage to the front portion of the bus, with the bumper and windshield completely shattered.

Local residents and Tangi police personnel promptly responded to the accident site and evacuated the injured passengers. All injured persons were initially admitted to Tangi Community Health Center (CHC), while the two critically injured were later transferred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for advanced treatment.

The police have launched an investigation into the accident to determine the exact cause of the collision.
