2 Arrested With Brown Sugar Worth Rs 1.6L In Jagatsinghpur

Bhubaneswar: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Kujanga Police on Monday arrested two persons for their involvement in selling brown sugar in Narendrapur village of Jagatsinghpur district.

The arrested have been identified as Bikash Swain and Prakash Chandra Kuanr.

Acting under the direction of the Superintendent of Police, Jagatsinghpur, the Kujanga Police conducted the operation named ‘PRAHAR.’ During the raid, the police seized 16.07 grams of brown sugar valued at Rs 1.6 lakh, along with two mobile phones and Rs 17,400 in cash.

The accused are currently in police custody and will be produced before the court shortly.
