Cuttack: Odisha Police has earned national recognition after three of its personnel bagged top honours at the 14th National Vovinam Martial Arts Championship 2025 held in New Delhi. Together, they secured two gold medals and three silver medals, showcasing their strength and skill on the national stage.
Constable Barsha Nath, posted with the Odisha Industrial Security Force (OISF) in Bhubaneswar, clinched a gold medal in the Vovinam martial arts category.
Constable Biswajit Rout made a mark in the senior category, winning a gold medal in the over 81 kg category and adding a silver medal in the fencing event.
Constable Dibyarajan Dalai also brought laurels by securing a silver medal in the senior over 95 kg category of Vovinam martial arts and another silver medal in Kata (Karate), setting a new milestone for the force.
Congratulating the achievers, Director General of Police (DGP) Yogesh Bahadur Khurania praised their hard work and dedication. He extended his best wishes for their future, noting that their achievement has brought glory to the state police and will inspire other personnel to excel in sports.
