Bhubaneswar: The 12th Governing Body meeting of the Odisha Community Tank Development and Management Society (OCTDMS) was held today at Lokseva Bhawan under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja.
The meeting reviewed how initiatives such as crop water budgeting, conjunctive use of water, solar bore wells, custom hiring centres, mechanised dry direct seeded rice (DSR), green manuring, rice-fish culture and scientific fish farming are helping promote climate resilience.
Officials said these measures are not only improving key agricultural indicators but also transforming the livelihoods of farmers and water users across the state.
Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Principal Secretary of Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department S.K. Vashisth, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department Girish SN, along with directors of concerned departments and other governing body members, attended the meeting and participated in the discussions.
