Jeypore (Koraput): Residents of Dangarpaunsi village in Koraput district’s Kundura block are living in fear due to the presence of three bears roaming the area day and night. The villagers have demanded action from the Forest Department to mitigate the situation.
According to reports, the bears have been spotted in the village vicinity, causing panic among the residents. The Forest Department’s inaction has sparked dissatisfaction.
It’s worth noting that bears, especially Asian black bears, are known to roam in search of food and can be attracted to human settlements. In some cases, they may become aggressive if threatened or surprised.
The villagers are likely seeking assistance from the Forest Department to safely relocate the bears and prevent any conflicts.
