Bhubaneswar: Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan announced two significant decisions regarding the management of the Shree Jagannath temple in Puri.
The first decision resolves the issue of Dhadi Darshan (queue-based darshan system), which was hindered by the presence of hundi (donation box) inside the temple. The Chief Minister has approved the transfer of the hundis, and discussions are underway to determine their new location.
With the ‘hundi’ issue resolved, the temple will introduce a trial system of dhadi darshan. This move is expected to improve the overall darshan experience for devotees.
In another important development, the temple administration has decided to transfer the ‘Sindhuka’ filled with ornaments to the Ratna Bhandar on September 23. This decision was made after thorough discussions by the Ratna Bhandar Sub-Committee, and the transfer will take place in the presence of the temple administration and a high-level committee.
