Bhubaneswar: Acclaimed Odia music director Abhijit Majumdar has shown improvement in his health after being weaned off the ventilator following a prolonged 14-day period.
Currently, he is undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, according to a health bulletin release by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhubaneswar.
It is pertinent to mention that Abhijit’s brain MRI was conducted yesterday, and his condition is being closely monitored by ICU and ECMO specialist Dr Srikant Behera and his team.
According to hospital authorities Abhijit is gradually recovering from pneumonia infection. Abhijit’s kidney and liver function have shown improvement, and his overall health condition is being closely monitored. The team overseeing his treatment is optimistic about his recovery.
