Bhubaneswar: Punjab & Sind Bank is set to significantly expand its footprint in Odisha with plans to open 20 new branches and establish a zonal office in Bhubaneswar during the 2025–26 financial year.

This was conveyed by Ravi Mehra, Executive Director of the bank, during a courtesy call on Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja today. Mehra informed that the bank currently operates 30 branches in the state and that the proposed expansion is aimed at strengthening its presence and improving financial access across Odisha.

He added that the bank’s Board has already approved the setting up of the zonal office in Bhubaneswar, which will further consolidate operations and enhance outreach in the region.

Mehra highlighted that Punjab & Sind Bank has been actively supporting government schemes in Odisha, particularly in the sectors of agriculture, MSMEs, food processing, and promotion of self-help groups (SHGs). He assured that the bank would continue to strengthen this support in the coming years.

Reiterating the institution’s commitment to the vision of “Viksit Odisha 2036” and “Viksit Bharat 2047,” Mehra said the bank would actively participate in the State’s developmental journey.

Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja welcomed the bank’s initiatives and assured full cooperation from the state government in facilitating the opening of the new branches and zonal office.

Vinay Khandelwal, Zonal Manager of Punjab & Sind Bank’s Vijayawada Zone, was also present at the meeting.
