Bhubaneswar: A daring kidnapping attempt was foiled in Sambalpur when transport businessman Manoj Bhatdar escaped from the clutches of three armed youths. The incident, which occurred last night at Bhatdar’s office in Ainthapali, was captured on CCTV camera.
According to reports, the three Punjabi youths entered Bhatdar’s office armed with deadly weapons and attacked him. Two female employees present in the office tried to intervene but were unsuccessful in stopping the youths. Bhatdar was severely beaten and dragged out of the office, then forced into a vehicle.
However, Bhatdar managed to escape from the vehicle near Bareipali, leaving the kidnappers stunned. A written complaint has been filed at the Ainthapali police station, and an investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators and determine their motives.
The CCTV footage, which captured the entire incident, is being analysed by the police to gather evidence. The police are working to unravel the mystery behind the sudden attack and kidnapping attempt.
