Bhubaneswar: Odia music director Abhijit Majumdar remains in critical condition, particularly concerning his central nervous system, according to AIIMS Bhubaneswar Executive Director Dr. Ashutosh Biswas.
“He is currently in the ICU, breathing room air. While his other organs are functioning well, the damage to his central nervous system is severe and will require time to recover. We are closely monitoring his condition and providing the best possible treatment,” Dr. Biswas said on Sunday.
Majumdar was admitted to AIIMS on September 4 after his health deteriorated following initial treatment at a private hospital in Cuttack. The renowned singer and composer slipped into a coma and is now on ventilator support in the Central ICU under General Medicine at AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
The music director is battling multiple health complications, including hypertension, hyperthyroidism, liver disease, pneumonia, and severe lung infections.
