Bhubaneswar: A Special Vigilance Court in Bargarh on Monday convicted Jibardhan Seth, a retired Assistant Civil Supplies Officer (ACSO) from Sambalpur, in a disproportionate assets (DA) case filed under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
Seth, who had been charge-sheeted by the Odisha Vigilance for amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, was sentenced to two years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) along with a fine.
