Youth Goes Missing While Taking Selfie Near Bhandan River In Mayurbhanj

Bhubaneswar: A young man went missing while taking a selfie near the Bhandan River at Jashipur in Mayubhanj district, on Tuesday evening.

The youth has been identified as Sahin Alam, a resident of Murshidabad and a mason by profession.

According to reports, he reportedly slipped into the river’s strong current while taking a selfie at the Ramteerth Ghat. Despite a rescue operation being launched immediately after the mishap, Sahin’s whereabouts remain unknown even 16 hours after the incident.

Till the last report came in, the fire brigade team was still searching for him. Meanwhile, the Jashipur police have reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the matter.
