Kalahandi: The body of an unidentified person was found floating in a drain near Semelpadar under Karlapada outpost on Friday morning.
The incident is believed to have occurred during the heavy rainfall caused by the deep depression that hit the area yesterday. Upon being informed, police have launched a probe and are trying to identify the deceased person.
A bike number plate was found near the scene, which might help the police identify the victim. The authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
