Bhubaneswar: A 16-year-old boy went missing while bathing in the Kathajodi River near Balighat in Cuttack district on Friday.
The missing minor has been identified as Shriyanshu Das, a resident of Madhuban village in Kendrapara district. He was a Class 10 student at DAV Public School, CDA Sector-6.
According to reports, the incident occurred while Shriyanshu was bathing in the river. When he failed to resurface after a dip, locals raised an alarm and alerted the Bidanasi Fire Services. A rescue team reached the spot and launched a search operation.
As of the time of reporting, Shriyanshu remains untraceable and efforts to locate him are ongoing.
