Bhubaneswar: In a significant development in the ongoing Police Sub-Inspector recruitment scam investigation, three key officials of Vanik Coaching Centre appeared before the Crime Branch today.
The HR manager, admin manager, and accounts head of the centre were summoned by the investigating officer as part of the probe. The probing agency served notices to them directing them to appear before the investigating officer on Friday.
Following the instructions, the HR manager, admin manager, and accounts head of the centre appeared before the investigating agency.
Earlier, a three-member team led by Crime Branch DSP Narendra Behera conducted a three-hour search operation at the centre. During the raid, the team seized documents related to job aspirants allegedly involved in the scam.
The Crime Branch conducted a thorough search at Vanik Coaching Centre’s premises on Thursday. During the operation, it was revealed that several of the 114 candidates arrested from Vizianagaram were students of the institute. While the Crime Branch confirmed the connection, the exact number of students linked to Vanik is still under investigation.
