Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ace badminton player Swetaparna Panda will receive the prestigious Ekalavya Award for 2025. The award, instituted by Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPACT), recognises outstanding achievements in sports.
Swetaparna will be presented with a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 7 lakh. Weightlifter Pritismita Bhoi and tennis player Ahan, who became runner-up, will each receive Rs 1.5 lakh along with a citation.
The Ekalavya Award has been presented annually since 1993 by IMPACT, which is run by IMFA. This recognition is a testament to Swetaparna’s hard work and dedication to badminton.
