Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of Global Handwashing Day, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi emphasized the importance of regular handwashing in preventing the spread of diseases.

In a tweet, CM Majhi urged citizens to make handwashing a vital part of their daily routine, highlighting its significance in staying safe from COVID-19, diarrhoea, and pneumonia.

Majhi encouraged people to wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before and after eating, using the toilet, and caring for a sick person. CM Majhi called upon everyone to work together to promote cleanliness and build a healthy, disease-free Odisha.

“Today is Global Handwashing Day, so let us all take this opportunity to heart the importance of this campaign and make regular handwashing a vital part of our lifestyle. To stay safe from the COVID crisis and diseases like diarrhea and pneumonia, washing hands properly with soap and water is the simplest and most effective means. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds before and after eating, after using the toilet, and after caring for a sick person. Let us all work together to promote cleanliness and build a healthy and disease-free Odisha. Clean hands, healthy life!”, read his tweet.
