Bhubaneswar: A minor girl was allegedly raped in the Daringbadi police station area of Kandhamal district on Monday.
According to reports, the accused lured the girl on the pretext of buying her a pair of slippers and took her to Daringbadi. He then allegedly led her to a secluded forest area, where he committed the crime.
Following the incident, the girl’s uncle lodged a written complaint at the Daringbadi police station.
Acting on the complaint, police registered a case and launched a manhunt to nab the accused, who is currently absconding.
