Supply Assistant Dies While On Duty At Cyclone Shelter In Gajapati

Bhubaneswar: A supply assistant working at a cyclone shelter at Potara panchayat in Gajapati district died suddenly while on duty.

The deceased has been identified as Surendra Gamang.

Gamang was part of the team overseeing the cyclone shelter amid the severe cyclonic storm Montha.

According to reports, Gamang had been working tirelessly to ensure the safety of those affected by the cyclone. The incident occurred when he fell ill and was rushed to the Gajapati District Headquarters Hospital, where he was declared dead.

The local administration has expressed condolences to his family.
