Bhubaneswar: The Mission Shakti Department announced the launch of the Odisha Women Entrepreneurs and Cultural Heritage Fair, ‘Subhadra Shakti Mela’, set to begin on November 1, at a press conference held at Mission Shakti Bhawan. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi will inaugurate the event formally at the Exhibition ground in Bhubaneswar.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida shared the details. The fair will feature 300 stalls, including 50 food stalls, showcasing products from self-help groups. Notably, women who participated in the Subhadra Shakti Traditional Food Competition will participate in the fair.
This year’s event will have a national touch, with women from 11 states displaying and selling their products, making it a national-level fair.
A fashion show will also be organised to promote Odisha’s handlooms, highlighting the state’s textile crafts, forest products, and traditional Odia food.
